Election Integrity

Election integrity is at the core of what we do. If an election has integrity, that means the election was held fairly and voters can trust the results.

Our election processes are designed to preserve election integrity. They are based on fundamental democratic principles like universal suffrage, one person one vote, a secret ballot, non-partisan election administration, and a level playing field for campaigns.

Protecting election integrity requires a whole-of-society approach.

Organizations like Elections BC play an important role but so do many other groups, including provincial and federal government partners, political participants, the media, academia, civil society organizations, and voters.
